(still trying to catch up here)
sunday evening we raced up the 101 and made it just in time to catch the last Bainbridge Ferry to Seattle.
Ferry approaching Seattle
Monday and Tuesday we spent in Seattle with with our friend Tim (who kiki's known since art school). Tim has this awesome apartment on a hill near the University
here's Tim and his 70's-porn-star-green Ford Fiesta, "baby". he loves this car more than life itself.
Monday Tim took us around Seattle where we checked out the new Seattle Library building, which apparently is a Rem Koolhaas building (for those of you who are architecture buffs. because i sure am. not. one.)
went to the Fish Market down by the port.
Here's a picture of us in front of the Fish Market sign which, I'm sorry to say Tim, is probably the worst picture ever taken of us. which makes it that much more special
got some new belts at this place in the market that custom makes them for you right there. they had some pretty cool buckles.
i was tempted to get a grim reaper, or pirate belt but ultimately went with the american eagle one, which i think represents our trip well
Monday night Tim's german dentist friends came over and made sushi for us. i got to jump in and try to make some rolls too. i was really impressed that Henrich knew how to make his own sushi. it tasted great

Me, Tim and Henrich's wife Joannna
(i was feeling out of place without one off those cool hats so i borrowed one of Tim's)
in downtown seattle Tim took me to the cool hat store so i could get one for myself. my life is now complete.
anyway, we had a great time in Seattle. thanks again Tim for the awesome meals you cooked for us and your hospitality.
right now we're in Snoqualmie WA, which is where they filmed a large part of the TWIN PEAKS tv series. we'll update when we have time but right now we have to go get some cherry pie.. until then...
